VA Smalltalk Forum Europe 2010: Hotel information

If you’d like to come to our VA Smalltalk Forum Europe 2010 in Stuttgart on June 8th, you’d probably want to stay overnight, since we have a full day of information and networking for you.

We have reserved a small block of rooms at the hotel that’s available for 165 EUR per night including breakfast. You can do two things to reserve the room:

You may call the hotel directly at +49 711 2048-0 and indicate that you are part of the VA Smalltalk Forum Europe group to obtain this rate. Or you may go to the hotel website (German) (English) and do the following:

1.  Click on Business Client/Geschäftskunden at the top of the page

2.  Enter Rate Access Code/Preiszugangs-Code “GOJT”

3.  Select the Stuttgart Hotel

4.  Scroll down to select dates on Calendar

5.  Scroll down to see find the rate of 165 Euro a night.

This room rate is only available until May 25th, or shorter if the block is booked. There also is an early bird rate of 183 excl. Breakfast which has to be booked at least 7 days in advance.

Since the hotel is very central in Stuttgart, directly across the road from the main train station, there are plenty of other options, some of them probably a lot cheaper.

You can use the typical booking sites like hrs.de or expedia.de or whatever you like to find them. Some cheaper but still close alternatives are:

If you’ve found or know a nice hotel near Stuttgart main station and would like to recommend it to VAST Forum attendees, let me know in the comments.

  1. Marten,

    Thank you for the update!

I guess the regular Ameropa price excludes Breakfast ?

Since you’ve looked up at Ameropa: they sometimes have very attractive bundles of Train Tickets and hotels, sometimes as cheap as the hotel alone. And often you can even book 1st class tickets for only 50 EUR more. Probably not a bad idea if you come here from where you are😉

    1. Marten,

I just saw that the 300 EUR includes breakfast. So if you plan to stay from June 7th until June 9th, you may want to check at Ameropa.de – thanks again, Marten!

Unfortunately, there seem to be no combined bookings with Train Tickets – at least not online. You may want to call their callcenter: +49 (0) 6172 109777

      1. Okay, you can book a train ticket as an add-on for 107 Euros (2nd class) or 169 Euros (1st class) – so Ameropa seems to be a good place to book for the Forum.

If you come from Frankfurt (Main), the 2nd class ticket would be 62 Euros (including back trip), hannover would be 107…

        1. I’ve already booked at the Intercity Hotel, due to the fact, that I’m leaving Stuttgart on Wednesday morning at 05:07 … and I wanted to be as near as possible to the railway station :-)))

  2. “Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin Hotel” can be booked via Ameropa regurlarly for €300 for two night.

“Intercity Hotel” is now at €244 for two nights (kat superior – kat business is sold out).
